Operated by 9355-8294 Québec Inc., doing business as UCWonder · Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Who we are

UCWonder is owned and operated by 9355-8294 Québec Inc., doing business as "UCWonder" (the "Company", "we", "us" or "our"), a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with Québec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, and phone number when you create an account (directly or via Google Sign-In).
  • Booking data — stay dates, guest counts, and preferences you share with our trip planner.
  • Guest stay verification — if you unlock an in-unit welcome page, the name and booking confirmation number you enter, used to verify your stay and manage guest perks.
  • Reward and loyalty data — vouchers claimed, loyalty points earned and redeemed, and related reservation references, kept as a record of the perks provided to you.
  • Concierge chat messages — messages you send to the in-stay AI assistant, stored so your host can review and follow up on requests and to improve service quality.
  • Consent records — the date and time you accepted our Terms, and whether you opted in to marketing emails.
  • Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe; we never store full card numbers.
  • Usage data — pages visited and features used, collected only if you accept optional analytics cookies (see section 6).

3. How we use your information

  • To process bookings, gift card orders, and wallet redemptions.
  • To personalize itineraries generated by our AI concierge.
  • To send transactional emails (confirmations, receipts) via Resend.
  • To send marketing emails (local recommendations and offers) only if you opted in at signup. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw this consent at any time without affecting your account (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, CASL).
  • To administer guest reward and loyalty programs on behalf of participating hosts.
  • To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or trade your personal data to third-party marketing firms.

4. Service providers and partners

We share only the minimum data necessary with the following processors:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Mapbox — map display.
  • Google — sign-in (if you choose Google Sign-In), places and attraction data, and — only with your consent — Google Analytics.
  • Tango Card — fulfilment of guest rewards (such as complimentary breakfast credits) and gift card orders.
  • OpenAI — processing of AI concierge conversations to generate responses; chat content is not used by us to identify you beyond providing the service.

If your stay is at a participating property, the property's host can see your chat messages, reward claims, and the verification details you entered, so they can assist you during your stay.

5. Affiliate links

Some links on this site — such as hotel search links to partners like Booking.com or Agoda — are affiliate links provided through our partner networks. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking these links takes you to the partner's site, where the partner's own privacy policy applies. We do not share your personal data with these partners; attribution is handled through anonymous link parameters and cookies set by the partner network.

6. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your planner session — they are always on because the site cannot work without them.

Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how travellers use the product. These are off by default and only load if you click "Accept analytics" in our consent banner, as required by Québec's Law 25 and the EU's GDPR. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies when you follow an outbound link, as described in their policies.

You can change your mind at any time: — the consent banner will appear again.

7. Data retention and security

Personal information is encrypted in transit and stored on secured cloud infrastructure. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

8. Your rights

Under Law 25 and PIPEDA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent at any time. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR, including the right to erasure and data portability.
